Almost 1,700 mental health patients were discharged from support services mistakenly amid the coronavirus pandemic in north Wales. Last week Betsi Cadwaladr health board had urged people to seek new referrals once the pandemic had eased. It estimated 200 to 300 were affected, but the actual figure is 1,694. The health board has now apologized for the error and said it has already started contacting the patients.
