Dead patches on Australia's Great Barrier Reef can be revived if the ambient sounds of a healthy reef are played via loudspeakers to tempt in young fishes which will help clean the reef to make space for new corals to grow for an ecosystem recovery. Marine biologists recently carried out an experiment with a large rate of success. Heatwaves are creating dead patches in the barrier reef by 'bleaching' the corals.
