France has a new list of alternatives for English words like clickbait, podcast and deepfake. The Commission for the Enrichment of the French Language has released several recommendations over the years in order to stop English terms taking hold. Among the phrases disapproved in a 2018 release was the phrase ‘fake news’. For instance, in case of ‘clickbait’ CELF suggests "piège à clics", or "click trap" in English.
