A room in Oxfordshire, England is being blasted with heat that is twice as hot as the sun's core. Tokamak Energy is firing its nuclear reactor up to 50 million degrees celsius by shooting 140,000 amps of electricity into a cloud of hydrogen gas. The aim of nuclear fusion is to generate an increasing amount of clean energy. The process occurs inside a ‘tokamak’ which is a device that uses a powerful magnetic field to contain the cloud of hydrogen gas.
