Odisha records 18,683 deaths in road accidents in 4 years

18,683 people have lost their lives in road accidents in the last 4 years in Odisha, Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera has revealed. Almost 4,463 people got killed in 10,532 accidents in 2016 & 4,790 deaths were recorded in 10,855 accidents in 2017. The increasing number saw a total of 5,315 people’s death in 11,262 accidents last year while this year till September 4,115 deaths in 8,203 accidents has been recorded.
