Hairdressers, bars and competitive sport could be back in action from next week as New Zealand PM Jacinda Arden has claimed the country is halfway down Everest in its fight against Covid-19. New Zealand was under strict lockdown restrictions for more than 5 weeks, but the low number of cases this week - zero for two consecutive days - means most of the businesses will reopen now and gatherings of 100 can be allowed.
