NASA recently shared an image of the Pinwheel Galaxy which is about 70 percent larger than the Milky Way galaxy at a diameter of about 170,000 light-years. The Pinwheel galaxy is located 21 million light-years from Earth in the constellation of Ursa Major (also known as the Big Dipper). The image shows a spiral galaxy with yellow, red, purple and blue stars at the centre and along its spiral arms. The blue stars at the end of the spiral arms are fading into the darkness of space.
