Mosques remain open in Pakistan despite rising death toll

Mosques across Pakistan remained open on Friday as during the Muslim sabbath adherents gathered for weekly prayers. The coronavirus pandemic continues to spread and much of the country has already been shut down. Prime Minister Imran Khan is focusing on restricting the size of congregations visiting mosques and has advised staying at home away from religious groups as these leaders ask people to defy restrictions.
