Modi government to construct 74 new tunnels for ₹1L crore

The Indian government has announced an ambitious plan to build 74 new tunnels, spanning a total distance of 273km. This project, estimated to cost around ₹1 lakh crore, is part of a larger initiative aimed at bolstering India's highway network. The announcement was made by Nitin Gadkari, the Minister for Road Transport and Highways at the second edition of Tunneling India conference, organized by FICCI.
