ISRO on Friday delivered three baby satellites into low earth orbit using the highly cost-effective and indigenously developed SSLV-D2 rocket. The launch was the result of four years of work to build the 34-metre rocket. The Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), which was launched from the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, at 9.18 am carried three mini, micro and nano satellites.
