Kolkata rape-murder: AIIMS doctors end 11-day strike after SC's appeal

The Resident Doctors's Association (RDA) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, has called off its 11-day strike. The decision comes after the Supreme Court's suo moto cognizance in the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. "Doctors must stop the protest...Our hearts go out to those who visit government hospitals with ailments," Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said during the hearing.
