As Iran grapples with the most serious protests to engulf the country in years, triggered by the death in police custody of a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, heart-rending images and videos have emerged on social media. In a video that has been widely shared on social media, a woman is seen chopping of her hair in sorrow over the funeral casket of her brother, Javad Heydari, who was killed by security forces for participating in the protest.
