IPS officer Nalin Prabhat appointed as new head of NSG

Seasoned Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Nalin Prabhat has been appointed as the new Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG). The announcement of his appointment to India's premier anti-terrorism agency was made by the Personnel Ministry. Currently serving as Additional Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Prabhat's appointment of NSG has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). His tenure will last until his retirement on August 31, 2028.
