Indian Railways made Rs 35,073 crore in the last 10 years by selling crap

The Indian Railways managed to pull out a highly profitable deal just by selling its crap for Rs 35,000 crore in the past 10 years. The amount earned in more than the joint annual budget of the north-east states. According to data collected by social activist and senior journalist Jitendra Surana, under the RTI, the budget of Sikkim is around 7,000 crore, for Mizoram, it is 9,000 crore and Manipur gets 13,000 crores.
