Permanent hair dye and chemical hair straightener have been linked to a higher risk of breast cancer in a new study which also warns the risk is more than six times higher in black women. Scientists suggest the risk of breast cancer is relatively lower in women who permanently dye their hair in professional settings, such as a salon as stylists are less likely to expose clients' skin to the dangerous dye chemicals.
