Fukushima contaminated water release might change human DNA, warns Greenpeace

Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant may soon release its contaminated water into the sea. Greenpeace warned that the water contains radioactive carbon with the potential to damage human DNA. The agency has claimed that 1.23 mn metric tons of water stored at the plant contain dangerous levels of radioactive isotope carbon-14 & other radioactive substances. Carbon-14 is a major contributor to collective human radiation dose.
