Floods caused loss of $45.7 bn to Indian economy between 1998-17

A new report was released which said that the floods in India caused the nation's economy the highest loss of $45.7 billion between 1998 and 2017. As per the report published by the Action on Climate Today, the damages caused to India doubled between 2007 and 2017. It said that the number of extreme weather events is increasing in India. Going through data of EED revealed that Indian economy saw a rise in a loss.
