Embezzlement scandal: France’s ex-PM Fillon sentenced to jail

Francois Fillion, the former PM of France has been sentenced to 5 years in Jail and a hefty fine for paying his wife from a Public fund. A French court has found him guilty of embezzlement and concealment of a crime. However, the politician will likely to spend less time behind the bars as 3 out of those 5 years have been suspended. Fillon will also be barred from running any office for at least 10 years.
