Dogs are being trained to sniff out COVID-19

Infectious disease experts believe the prevention of future coronavirus outbreaks will need more improved testing and finding asymptomatic carriers. Now, eight Labrador retrievers with their powerful noses have been enlisted for a study. The dogs are the first trainees in a University of Pennsylvania research project to see if they can detect any odor associated with the virus that causes the disease covid-19.
