The testicles may reserve coronavirus and protect it from the immune system allowing the infection to persist for longer in males, a study has claimed. Covid-19 usually binds with human cells expressing the ACE2 protein. These are profoundly available in the lungs, heart and intestines. In men the protein is also found in huge quantity in the testes. However, in women, very small amounts are found in ovarian tissue.
