Coronavirus spread swiftly around world in late 2019

A genetic analysis of samples collected from more than 7,500 COVID-19 patients show the novel coronavirus was spreading quickly all over the world since late last year and is now adapting to its human hosts. The University College London's Genetics Institute found almost 200 recurrent genetic mutations of the novel coronavirus - SARS-CoV-2 - which the researchers say shows how it’s evolving as it spreads in people.
