Chinese swordfish has been declared “extinct”

Climate change has started affecting the world in severe ways and now fisheries experts have declared the Chinese swordfish as an extinct species. Swordfish was the native of the Yangtze River and it was also known as the largest freshwater fish species. Chinese swordfishes used to have a silver-colored body and a protruding snout. According to Chinese experts, the Chinese swordfish was last spotted in the year 2003.
