China to lift lockdown in virus-hit Hubei province

China has decided to end a 2-month lockdown of most of coronavirus-hit Hubei province as domestic cases of the virus outbreak continues to decrease. Residents with a clean bill of health will be given permission to leave, the provincial government has announced. However, the city of Wuhan, where the outbreak started in late December, will be in lockdown until April 8. Hubei hasn’t seen any new infections for a week.
