CBI registers case against former IRS officer

CBI has registered a case of cheating and forgery against former Indian Revenue Service officer Sanjay Kumar Srivastava who compulsorily retired last month. The case has been registered for the time span he was working as the Commissioner of Income Tax, Noida. According to CBI, during his stint as Commissioner, Income Tax Appeal 1 and Appeal 2, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava purportedly decided 104 IT appeals.
