The first Canadian clinical trials of a potential COVID-19 vaccine have been approved and will be carried out by Canadian Centre for Vaccinology at Dalhousie University. The National Research Council of Canada will be working closely with the drug’s manufacturers in order to produce and distribute the vaccine if the trials are successful. The vaccine Ad5-nCoV was approved for Phase 1 human trials in China in March.
