Ayodhya surpasses Taj Mahal as UP's top tourist spot

Uttar Pradesh saw a remarkable rise in tourism, drawing 476.1 million tourists between January and September 2024. Among the tourist destinations in the state, the city of Ayodhya was the most sought-after, overtaking the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra. As per reports from the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, Ayodhya drew a whopping 135.5 million domestic tourists and 3,153 international tourists during the time period.
