AQ Khan, father of Pakistan's nuclear program, passes away at 85

AQ Khan, the scientist who helped Pakistan get nuclear weapons, died after a brief illness at the age of 85. Khan breathed his last at Khan Research Laboratories Hospital, Islamabad, at around 7 am. "Pakistan will forever honour his services to the nation! The nation is heavily indebted to him for his contributions in enhancing our defence capabilities," Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said while calling Khan's death a "great loss".
