The AP government said that the Amravati start-up area proposed to be built over 1700 acres was scrapped as neither the time nor finances permitted such development in such a short time. AP Finance Minister Bugganna Rajendranath said that the start-up area was scrapped in the best interests of the state as it was found to be infeasible and also involved a huge investment which did not match the proposed development.
