Antarctic sea ice extent has been reported to have broken its last year record low, and has also recorded it sooner than when it did last year, according to a statement by the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC). On February 13, 2023, Antarctic sea ice extent fell to 1.91 million square kilometers, it said.
