103-year-old WWII veteran gets his combat medals 75 years later

A 103-year-old US World War II veteran has finally been honored for his service in the military, 75 years later. Peter Fantasia was presented with 8 medals including the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and American Defense Service Medal. Fantasia had served in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division as a US Army medic and was captured by the Russians in 1944. He was released in 1945.
