Sports tops out of home viewership: BARC

An out of home viewership measurement service has revealed that 70% of viewers watch sports followed by movies at 10% and music at 8%. The measurement service launched by the Broadcast Audience Research Council favoured sports as the measurement was carried out in April-May when most restaurants were showcasing IPL. Out of the 44 million viewers aged 15 and above, 33.3 million watched IPL live out of their home.
