Kumar Sangakkara, a former Sri Lankan batting mainstay, is third on the list of cricketers who reached 12000 ODI runs the fastest. Sangakkara, who went on to play 404 One-Day Internationals in a 15-year career, scored his 12000th run in his 359th match and 336th ODI innings.

Sanath Jayasuriya

Sanath Jayasuriya, a former swashbuckling batsman from Sri Lanka, is fourth on the list of cricketers who reached 12000 ODI runs the fastest. Sanath, who went on to play 445 ODIs over the course of his 21-year career, scored his 12000th run in his 390th match and 379th ODI innings.
