Dr Keneiloe Molopyane has been selected as one of the National Geographic Society's 15 Emerging Explorers for 2021. The 34-year-old South African is also the Centre for Exploration of the Deep Human Journey's first post-doctoral research fellow. In 2018, she joined the Rising Star cave research team, and her new study will entail a re-exploration of the Gladysvale cave system within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.
