Netflix to cancel inactive accounts for more than a year

Netflix will cancel accounts that have no activity in more than a year, despite paying subscription fees. The streaming giant claims hundreds of thousands of users are in that ‘inactive’ category. Netflix believes the move will also save forgetful customers money. Affected account holders will receive a warning email from Netflix before their accounts are deactivated. Notifications will start arriving from next week.
