Iranian filmmaker Mani Haghighi had his passport confiscated at the airport as he was about to board a flight to attend the BFI London Film Festival. In a filmed video statement, which will be played before his film screens on Saturday Haghighi said: "I'm very sorry that I'm unable to be there with you tonight in the theatre. I was prevented by the Iranian authorities from boarding my flight to London on Friday."
