American comedian Chris Rock opened up about the physical altercation that happened between him and Will Smith during the 94th Academy Awards in 2022. He said that the thing that people want to know is if the slap hurt. He added “I played Pookie (in ‘New Jack City’). Even in animated movies I’m a zebra, he’s a f—ing shark. I got hit so hard, I heard ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ears.”
