Actor Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, has died at 72, The Hollywood Reporter reported. Robbie Coltrane, was one of Britain's most popular comedians who played in two James Bond films and in the "Harry Potter" franchise. Veteran actor Robbie Coltrane played Hagrid, the half-giant and a dear friend to the troublesome trio -- Harry, Hermione and Ron -- in the "Harry Potter" films.
