The famous singer of Indian classical music, Girija Devi, was admitted to the CCU of BC Birla Heart Research Center, Kolkata, on her complaint of chest pain, where she breathed last on Tuesday. She was 88. Girija Devi, along with the country's 3 civilian awards like Padma Vibhushan, the Padma Shree, and Padma Bhushan, she has been awarded Music Directorate Award, Maha Sangit Samman Award.
