Cannes film festival not possible 'in original form’

The Cannes film festival won’t be happening “in its original form” this year because of the coronavirus pandemic. The prestigious film fest was first postponed last month and was said it might be staged in June or July this year. But in an updated statement, the organizers said it’s “no longer an option” after France extended its lockdown. The festival was originally scheduled in the south of France from 12-23 May.
