Veteran Assamese actor and theatre artist Nipon Goswami passed away on Thursday. He was 75. According to several media reports, the actor was suffering from heart ailments and was admitted to a private hospital in Guwahati on 24 October. Goswami was best known for his myriad contributions to the Assamese film and television industry. He initially started his acting career as a stage actor and later established himself as a film actor.
