Can you imagine how irresistible it would be if it covered your walls? Engineer Al Fielding and Swiss inventor Marc Chavannes certainly didn't think about it when they created bubble wrap in 1957 while attempting to produce textured wallpaper by gluing two shower curtains together to capture air bubbles.
