According to a Myanmar militia member and Myanmar's UN ambassador, 40 corpses have been discovered in the forest in the country's central region in recent weeks. Hundreds of people have been murdered when the army ruthlessly suppressed protests after the military toppled Aung San Suu Kyi's elected administration on February 1. The corpses were discovered in Kani, a town that has been the center of fights between militants and the army.
