Former JNU student Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam are set to be prosecuted under the stringent anti-terror Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) after the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government granted prosecution sanction against the two. Imam had called for cutting Assam from India during an anti-CAA protest while Khalid's role was found in the Delhi violence in February and chanting of anti-India slogans in JNU.
