Two American youngsters have been sentenced to life imprisonment for stabbing a police officer to death while they were on a summer holiday in Rome. The police officer identified as Mario Cerciello Rega was stabbed during a late-night encounter in July 2019. 21-year-old Finnegan Lee Elder admitted Rega 11 times with a seven-inch camping knife. The two Americans claim they acted out of self-defense.
