Suicide bombers involved in Philippines bombing were widows of Islamic State militants

Two days after the bomb blasts in the southern Philippines, the country's army chief revealed that two women suicide bombers who carried out the attacks on Monday were widows of militants working for the Abu Sayyaf group linked to Islamic State. 14 people including soldiers were killed in the attack. Several other people were wounded in the deadly attack. The army is working to destroy the Abu Sayyaf group.
