Ravi Shankar Prasad, the IT minister revealed that the personal data of 5.62 Lakhs Facebook users have been accessed by Cambridge Analytica, a consultancy group in the UK. The group and Facebook both have been approached for additional details. The group had worked with Congress in 2010 to work on the voter analysis for the Bihar elections. Personal Data Protection Bill, prohibits the leaking of personal data.
