Patient left dead in Pakistan as security guard tries to do surgery and fails

According to AFP, an old lady died after a former security guard at a Pakistani hospital pretended to be a doctor and conducted surgery on her. Shameema Begum, 80, died two weeks after Muhammad Waheed Butt ( the accused), attempted to operate on her back wound at a government hospital in Lahore. "The guard has been charged and is in police custody," said Ali Safdar, a spokesman for the Lahore police department.
