A special court rejected the bail plea of one of the accused from the group that had attacked NCB officials in Mumbai in November last year, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. While rejecting the bail plea of 21-year-old Kerry Kelvin Mendes, the court said the age of the accused is immaterial in case of serious offences. Once they are released, “they will again indulge in the same activities," the court said.
