Nirbhaya gangrape-murder case: President Kovind rejects mercy plea of Pawan Gupta

The President of India, Ramnath Kovind today rejected the mercy plea of Pawan Gupta, one of the four convicts in 2012 Delhi gangrape-murder case. Pawan, along with three other convicts is scheduled to hang at Delhi's Tihar jail on March 3 at 6 am. Pawan had moved his plea before the President after his curative petition was rejected by the Supreme Court earlier today. A Delhi Court also refused to stay the hanging of the convicts.
