Nirbhaya gang-rape convicts won't be hanged on January 22 as mercy plea has been filed: Court

A Delhi court which issued the order of hanging of Nirbahaya gangrape murder case convicts has said that the four convicts won't be hanged on January, as decided earlier, since two of them filed a mercy petition. The court had issued a death warrant against the convicts on January 7 following which, two of the convicts moved Supreme Court against the decision and filed a mercy plea which was cancelled by the apex court.
